Supporting Utah’s Military-Connected Entrepreneurs
We provide entrepreneurial support to veterans, active duty, reserve, guard, and military spouses throughout Utah.

The Utah Veteran Business Resource Center (VBRC), established in 2017, supports Utah’s military-connected entrepreneurs—including veterans, active-duty members, reservists, guardsmen, and spouses—in starting or growing their businesses.
Backed by the Utah Department of Veterans and Military Affairs, Salt Lake Community College, the State of Utah, and the U.S. Small Business Administration, the VBRC provides counseling, mentorship, and business advising. It also created the Utah Veteran Business Registry to help veteran-owned businesses gain recognition and visibility.
In partnership with Syracuse University’s Institute for Veterans and Military Families, the VBRC offers the STRIVE Program—one of only seven in the U.S.—which provides in-depth training for aspiring veteran entrepreneurs. These efforts reflect Utah’s strong commitment to empowering its veteran business community through education, resources, and ongoing support.
